Description

Pokémon Go apk, developed by Niantic is a free to play location based game. The game has been designed for Android and iOs devices. This game is a result of collaboration between Nintendo and Niantic which was initially released in selected countries in the month of July, last year.

How does it operate?
In this game, the players are required to use the GPS of their mobile devices in order to locate, capture, fight and train the virtual creatures known as Pokémon. They would appear on your mobile screen as if they are in the same location as that of the player. This actually makes it look like a real world based game. It is to be noted that the game supports other purchases for extra in game items and add-ons.

Understanding the Gameplay
After creating a game account, the player is required to create his/her own avatar. Once it has been created, the avatar is shown on a map using the current geographical location of the player. There are features like PokéStops and Pokémon gyms in the game. The function of PokéStops is to provide players with items such potions, berries, eggs and Poké Balls. There are items called lure modules, with which these PokéStops can be equipped. These would attract wild and at times rare Pokémon creatures. The purpose of Pokémon gym is to serve as locations for battle in case of king of the hill matches. The players move around their real world environments and the Pokémon creatures would within the game’s map. It is to be noted that the players can take screenshots of the Pokémon avatars they come across, either with or without the activated AR mode.

Players can score points for various in game activities as well. As the players earn experience points, they tend to rise in level. After reaching level five, the player will be able to fight at a Pokémon gym. The combat power of a particular Pokémon is a rough idea and analysis of how powerful that avatar is in the battle. Usually, as a player levels up, he/she will be able to catch Pokémon with higher CP.

Development
The concept of Pokémon Go was conceived in the year 2014 by Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata and The Pokémon Company’s Tsunekazu Ishihara. This was started as an April Fool’s Day collaboration with Google, known as the Google Maps: Pokémon Challenge. The soundtrack of this game has been written by Junichi Masuda, who has been the Pokémon Series’ composer for a long period of time. He assisted with some of the game’s design as well. Dennis Hwang was one of the graphic designers of this game, who has created the logo for Gmail, while working for the search engine company.

On 4th March, 2016, Niantic announced that a Japan bound beta test would begin in the latter half of that month. It would allow players to assist in the process of refining the game further, before its actual release. The entire series of tests came to an end on 30th June. An updated version of Pokémon Go has been released this year on 16th February.
