Pichon is an offline pack provided by Icons8 that offers a variety of features, such as photos and illustrations, icons, and curated graphics. These are categorized based on styles and categories; users can easily sort through them, and find the desired ones, through the use of keywords. Pichon is an ideal tool for graphic designers, or anyone interested in creating an icon or logo, as it pairs well with multiple programs, like Photoshop, for example.

Features

Pichon has gained widespread popularity for its diverse, easy-to-use features. The photos, illustrations, and icons offered by Pichon were created by various professionals, and sorted in a linear, logical manner, that makes them easy to search for, and find.

Photos: Users can search through a wide variety of photos of people and animals, various objects and elements, amongst others things.

Illustrations: Pichon also offers numerous illustrations created by various artists. The illustrations come in a flat or 3D form, raster or vector.

Icons: The icons offered by Pichon come in more than forty different styles, and were created by numerous designers specializing in icons.

Pichon can be easily used by both novices and professionals. Users can search for what they need through keywords; Pichon’s features are neatly organized based on two criteria – style and category. If searching based on category, users can choose between more than forty options, each containing between 50 and 200 icons.

Before using Pichon, you must first download and install the app. Next, log into your Icons8 account, and start browsing through Collections, Categories, and Styles; once you find an icon you like, you can easily store it in Favorites, copy and paste it, or save it to your device. You can do this by right clicking on the icon, and choosing the command you need.

Since Pichon works well with other programs, you can also drag and drop the icon you’re wanting into your Photoshop document, for example.

Recoloring an Icon

Next, you can recolor your icon – if you choose to do so – and use it!

Pichon allows users to recolor an item very easily. To do this, simply click on the icon and choose the color you want from the color wheel, which is located in the top right corner. Once you’re satisfied with the result, simply save the new version, copy and paste it, or drag and drop it.

Free vs paid

Like similar apps, Pichon offers a free and a paid version. The free version offers fewer options, and is more suited to those who need it for a quick project, or who are not that interested in things like graphic design. However, if you’re serious about it, the monthly subscription is undoubtedly worth it, as it unlocks all of the programs options, and does not limit a user’s experience.
