Leawo iTransfer copies selected data between an iPhone, iPad or iPod, a computer folder and an iTunes library. It is meant for targeted movement rather than a complete encrypted device backup. A user can export a set of songs to a PC, place supported media onto a connected device, move items between two iOS devices, or manage selected playlists and contacts without running a full iTunes synchronization.
Libraries stay separate
After a device connects, Leawo iTransfer scans it and places its library in the left sidebar. The iTunes library appears as another source. Categories include music, movies, television shows, books, ringtones, camera items, photos, contacts, messages, bookmarks, notes and a USB Storage area. The exact categories available depend on the connected device and the data that iOS exposes.
This layout matters because selecting a category does not by itself select a destination. Transfer To can send chosen items to the computer, iTunes or another attached device. When two iOS devices are connected, their libraries remain distinct, so the target name should be checked in the transfer dialog before the copy starts.
Move selected media
Computer-to-device work begins inside the receiving device’s category. Add File imports individual items, while Add Folder brings in a matching folder. A progress dialog reports which item is moving and how much of the job is complete. Leawo iTransfer tells the user not to disconnect the device during this stage; an interrupted copy can leave an incomplete item and requires another transfer.
Device-to-computer work reverses the path. The user marks items, selects Transfer To, chooses My Computer and sets an output folder. Preview can open supported media in a small panel before selection. It is useful for similarly named photographs or recordings, but the preview does not convert an unsupported file into an iOS-compatible media type.
Playlists need context
Leawo iTransfer can create, rename, import and delete playlists in the device or iTunes area. Songs can move between a music library and a playlist without copying every track in the library. Deleting a playlist and deleting its underlying songs are different operations, so the current sidebar location and confirmation text deserve attention.
The Edit menu also has Copy, Cut and Paste. Cut is not a harmless duplicate command: the official guide states that the item leaves its original position after the move. Copy is the safer choice when the intent is to keep both locations populated.
Contacts and messages
Contact work includes export in CSV or VCF form, import, editing and grouping. A VCF file is normally the better handoff to another contact manager, while CSV suits inspection in a spreadsheet. Messages, notes and bookmarks can be exported for safekeeping, but Leawo iTransfer is not a replacement for the device’s full restore process or for an encrypted system backup.
Connection comes first
Leawo iTransfer depends on Apple’s device connection components and lists current iTunes installation among its requirements. The iPhone may also require its passcode and a trust confirmation before its library appears. If detection fails, changing transfer options does nothing; the cable, USB port, device trust state and Apple driver need attention first.
The supported-device lists on the product page should be checked for newer hardware and system releases rather than assumed from the presence of a USB connector. Once a transfer starts, the computer should remain awake and the cable should stay attached until the progress window closes. The destination library should then be refreshed and a few copied items opened before anything is deleted from the source.
