This software allows you to use your Android device as a wireless webcam or as an IP cam! To utilize your phone as a webcam and microphone on your PC, connect it using Wi-Fi or a USB charging cable. You must download and install a free computer client before using the app (there are Windows and Linux versions available).

Droidcam is a free software, but there is a “Pro” version that, for a one-time fee, offers some handy extra features! These features include higher resolution, Bluetooth compatibility, camera flash, various video formats, autofocus, and more.

How do you use your android phone as a webcam via wi-fi?

1. Launch the DroidCam PC client after installation
2. Activate Wi-Fi on your phone and computer to connect them to the same network
3. When you launch the phone app, the Wi-fi IP & Port details will be displayed. You are not correctly connected to a Wi-Fi network if your IP address is all zeros (0.0.0.0).
4. Put in the IP address and port that are shown on the phone. Click the “Start” button after selecting the video and audio options.
5. Open the software you’ll be using, then from the video options menu, choose “DroidCam Source” to confirm the camera output.

How do you use your android phone as a webcam via a USB cable?

1. Connect a phone using a USB cable to a Windows computer.
2. Go into your settings app and choose developer options. From here, go ahead and select “enable USB debugging”. If a confirmation box pops up, press yes. This step is essential it is used to establish USB connections.
3. Start the app on your phone and confirm that it is connected to the laptop or PC while USB Debugging is enabled.
4. Open the client on the PC and select the USB radio button. Devices will be shown in a dropdown menu on a screen, along with port information. The client will automatically connect to your phone after you press the “Start” button.

Does this software work with iPhones?

Keep in mind that iTunes must be installed on your computer in order for the iOS app to recognize your plugged-in Apple device over USB connections.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to your Windows laptop or computer using a USB cable.

Step 2: Keep in mind that in order to connect through a USB connection, your Windows PC must have iTunes installed. If you don’t already have it, you can download iTunes for free. Once you log into iTunes, it will immediately recognize your iPhone.

Step 3: Select “USB” from the menu, then click “Start” to launch the program Client.
