Overview

Binance App is a mobile interface for a cryptocurrency exchange account. It combines market viewing, order entry, deposits, withdrawals, wallet balances and peer-to-peer trades in one signed-in workspace. It does not turn a phone into a self-custody wallet by default: assets held in the exchange account remain under Binance account controls until the user withdraws them to an external blockchain address. Availability also depends on the country, identity checks and the payment rails that Binance supports there.

+

Balances have roles

+The account separates money according to how it is being used. A user may see balances assigned to Spot, Funding or another wallet area rather than one undivided total. Spot trading draws on the Spot balance, while peer-to-peer activity commonly uses the Funding balance. Binance App includes transfer controls for moving an amount between these internal areas. An internal transfer does not send anything over a blockchain and normally does not need a network fee.

+The trading screen pairs one asset with another. A market order accepts the currently available prices, while a limit order waits for a chosen price. A limit order can remain open and reserve part of the balance, which explains why the headline balance and the immediately spendable amount may differ. Cancelling that order releases the reserved amount; it does not reverse a trade that already filled.

Networks must match

+Crypto deposits begin with an asset, a network and a generated address. The same asset may travel on several blockchains, but those routes are not interchangeable. The network selected in Binance App must match the network used by the sending wallet. A cheap fee is not a reason to choose a chain that the receiving address does not support. Binance warns that a mismatch can cause permanent loss, and recovery from a custodial destination is never guaranteed.

+Some assets also need a MEMO, tag or payment identifier. The address can be shared among many exchange customers, while that second value tells Binance which account to credit. Copying the address without the required identifier may leave the deposit unassigned and create a support case. Blockchain confirmations add another delay after the sender marks a transfer complete, so the app may show no usable balance for a period even though a block explorer already sees the transaction.

+Withdrawals reverse the path. The Binance App user enters an external address, chooses its supported network, reviews the fee and completes the account security checks. Email confirmation and two-factor authentication may become part of that flow. Blockchain withdrawals cannot be cancelled after broadcast, so a small test transfer can be sensible when an unfamiliar address or network is involved.

P2P needs proof

+Binance P2P matches buyers and sellers who settle through an outside bank or payment service. The app holds the seller’s crypto during the order, but Binance does not control the separate bank transfer. The buyer follows the advertised payment terms and marks the order paid only after sending money. The seller checks the actual receiving account before releasing the crypto. A screenshot or chat message is not proof that funds arrived.

+The name on the payment account should match the verified Binance identity. A mismatch can signal a third-party payment and should stop release while the parties use the order chat or appeal route. Each advertisement also has its own amount limits, accepted payment methods and completion window. Letting that timer expire can cancel the order even when the quoted price looked attractive.

Security changes access

+Binance App can use device approval, two-factor codes, anti-phishing controls and withdrawal restrictions. These barriers add steps to a transfer, but they also limit what a stolen password can do. Replacing a phone without transferring the authenticator or retaining recovery access can make the legitimate owner pass a longer account-recovery process. The app therefore belongs to an account-security setup, not just a trading shortcut.
